Chris Picciotto

Chris Picciotto is the founder and president of Kali Systems Inc., providing end-to-end technology, infrastructure and application integration solutions in Hawaii. Following a successful 20 year career of corporate and management experience, Chris decided to pursue his passion for technology and start a business that put him in direct contact with business owners. Kali Systems focuses on healthcare practices and their unique requirements in an increasingly complex environment.

Chris served as senior vice president and managing director of State Street Bank, Tokyo Branch, 2000 to 2003 and as Vice President and General Manager from 1996 to 2000. He was also head of State Street Global Markets Japan, the Japan securities arm of State Street Bank beginning in 2000. His responsibilities included foreign exchange and currency markets, Japanese and Federal US regulatory issues, as well as staffing and administrative management. In addition, he had regional responsibity for e-finance products in the Asia Pacific area including Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore.

During his tenure in Japan, Chris made numerous presentations at seminars and conferences throughout Asia. His topics included e-finance, portfolio management theory and the changing environment of institutional investment. He held the position of Vice Chairman of the International Banker's Association of Japan, providing key policy contributions to the Bank of Japan, Japan's FSA and Ministry of Finance.

Chris joined State Street Bank, Boston Branch, in 1988. As Vice President, he was responsible for developing European and Latin American trade banking markets. He began his career in 1983 with Irving Trust in Manhattan, completing their intensive International Bank Training Program. He developed regional markets in New York and the Midwest, later focusing on international trade financing and corporate lending.

Chris is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York), receiving his BS degree in 1982.
